Domain name addiction

April 6th, 2007

It has become apparent that I have a problem with registering too many domains, I just can’t stop registering them. I can go without registering domains for a few weeks and then I will have an idea for a website, I go check if the domain is available if it is I register it, if it isn’t then I think of another, check it and register it.

At this point I should really stop but I just can’t. What will usually happen is I get about 10 new ideas for domains and just keep registering them. This happens until I have got about 10-20 domains.

The problem with this method is that the recurring fees for undeveloped domains can wipe out profits. The way I am going to approach this problem is to not register any domains for the next 2 months and try to develop or sell 50% of my registered domains (I have a few hundred at least).
